Each medallion has a unique QR code linked to a Cherished Lives memorial page that you build for your loved one. To set up the memorial page, simply scan the QR code with your smartphone, tablet, or computer and follow the onscreen instructions. After you have set up the site, visitors can scan the QR code with a smartphone camera to instantly open photos, stories, and tributes about your loved one — no app is needed. You can also share your memorial site with others through email, text, or social media.

There is no limit to the number of memorial photos, videos, or audio files that you can have in your site's Media gallery.

Audio files, which can include meaningful songs, recordings of your loved one's own music, or even voicemails, should be in .WAV or .MP3 audio file formats.

No - Cherished Lives is a one-time payment. There are no renewal fees or required subscriptions.

Yes - you can update your memorial page whenever you wish. Just log in to your Cherished Lives account here to add or delete material, change existing text or photos, or connect to new family memorials.

If you purchase more than one Cherished Lives medallion, each plaque will come with a unique QR code.  You can choose if you want to use them for multiple people with different memorial pages, or you can have some or all to point to the same person's memorial site. 

When you first register a medallion, the site will ask if you want to Create a New Memorial Site or Link it to an Existing Cherished Lives memorial site.  Some people order multiple medallions and have them point to the same person's memorial, with one on the gravestone, another on a memento in the home or at a special place, or one to carry around in their wallet to show friends and family.  

Yes! When you set up your memorial site, you will be able to select if you want to create a site for a Person, Couple, or Pet. The fields you are given to fill out will adjust to your selection. Couples will have spaces for each person's full name, birth and death dates, and hometowns.

Purchases within the United States are usually delivered within 1-4 business days of the order date. We also deliver worldwide, with shipping times generally ranging from 7-14 days depending on the region.

We also offer our Instant Access add-on option. If selected, Cherished Lives will email you a link immediately after the purchase that allows you to start setting up your memorial site right away. When your medallion arrives in the mail, you can link the QR code to this existing memorial site.

You are in full control of who can view your loved one's memorial site. Keep it private and share it only with selected family and friends, or make it public for family, friends, and visitors from all over to learn about your loved one. This setting can be switched whenever you like.

As the Manager, only you can add, delete, or adjust text and media files. If you would like others to help you build the memorial site, such as family or a funeral director, you can authorize them to be co-Managers through a simple email verification.

Guests can leave Tributes on the Guest Tributes page, as well as 'loving' or commenting on photos, but you have full control to delete anything you deem inappropriate.

Our Memorial Medallion, Keepsake Medallion, and Pet Medallion all come with an industrial strength adhesive tape already applied on the back and ready for you to attach. This should be used on flat, smooth surfaces, such as polished stone or metal. For a long-lasting hold, please clean the portion of your gravestone where you wish to attach the medallion, removing any dirt and grime and ensuring it is dry. Using a gravestone cleaner provides the best surface.

We recommend attaching the medallion when temperatures are at or above 50 degrees Fahrenheit or 10 degrees Celsius to ensure the best adhesive bond.

Once the spot is clean, remove the adhesive backing, and press and hold the medallion's adhesive tape to the surface for 30 seconds.

For our Wooden Bench Plaque, because wood is porous adhesives cannot make a good seal, so we include to small screws and screw holes on the medallion with which to attach your QR code. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver to set the screws.

Our Urn Necklace medallion comes with an adjustable chain necklace to hang your QR code medallion around the neck of a cremation urn. There is no adhesive needed.

Our Memorial, Keepsake, and Pet medallions are made from laser-etched anodized aluminum with an outdoor coating for added durability against the weather and UV rays. Each comes with preattached high-strength 3M adhesive tape.

Our Wooden Bench Plaque comes with attachment screws for the best hold on wooden surfaces. There is no adhesive backing. It is also anodized aluminum with an outdoor coating.

Our Urn Necklace medallion comes with an adjustable black necklace, allowing the medallion to be hung around a cremation urn neck. Urn Necklace medallions are also aluminum but covered with an epoxy finish for an elegant look.

The classic Cherished Lives Medallion measures 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm x 5 cm), which is ideal for a gravestone.

We also offer the smaller Keepsake Medallion, which is 1.2 inches by 1.2 inches (3 cm x 3 cm). This smaller size is perfect for attaching to a photo frame, plaque, or a memento in the home. It can also be carried around with you.

If your medallion's QR code is damaged and unreadable or lost, reach out to our customer service here or email us at support@cherishedlives.com. Please provide your name, email address under which the site is registered, the name of the deceased person, and your original order number, if possible. We will be able to provide a replacement Medallion at a discounted rate. You will not need to recreate your memorial site.

Cherished Lives QR code's are preprogrammed to connect to the Cherished Lives website, so they can not be connected to memorial sites on other platforms.
